Abstract

This study aimed to examine role of responsible leadership in conflict management and sustainable performance of faculties in higher education institutions of Southern Region, KP, Pakistan. The accountability, transparency and consideration of the various stakeholder interests are main aspects of responsible leadership that would have great impact on harmony within institutions and long-term performance. The research utilized quantitative research design and structured questionnaire for collecting primary data and analyzed by using descriptive statistics, correlation and regression techniques. The results show that responsible leadership is influencing conflict management and sustainable performance in higher institutions to greater extent. It is concluded that good leadership has positive influence on conflict management and sustainable performance. The leaders who are fair, ethical and transparent in favour of employees manage conflict in positive way and contribute to ositive academic climate. The outcomes give invaluable feedback to policy makers, university administration and academic leaders in order to insure the responsible leadership behaviour for the institutional sustainability.
